I was actually fearful of this happening. As many people know pitchers have been spending a lot of time in the IL lately, more often than usual. Of course, you will get people who will never agree, but the pitch clock, in my opinion, has a lot to do with it. A study was done some time ago that introducing such an idea to MLB baseball would result in more injuries. Yamamoto was known to be a solid pitcher, and an iron man before moving to the U.S. They don't have pitch clocks in Japan. Although pitchers don't normally take that long between pitches, they do not face constant pressure to throw pitches out of their comfort zone. This injury has nothing to do with Yamamoto throwing 100+ pitches in his previous start. It may have to do with the pitching clock.

We will see in the upcoming days if Yoshi is going to spend some time in the IL. The probability is high, but let's be optimistic here.
Tomorrow, I will post another entry on this website. Hint: He's phenomenal!
