Shohei Ohtani Is Red Hot!

Shohei Ohtani, the most prolific baseball player in recent history, is red hot, hitting four home runs since taking over the lead-off spot when Mookie Betts went down with a hand injury. After a long stretch of subpar at-bats, he seems to be back in early-season form. Some attribute this improvement to the new routine he does before taking his batting stance: He measures the plate with his bat relative to where he is standing. It has worked so far. I say keep doing it.

Steven Kwan was outstanding again. With 3 at-bats, he had 2 R, 1 H, and 1 BB, lowering his average to .396.

Tommy Pham had 1 R, 2 BB, and 1 K in the White Sox's losing effort against the Houston Astros.

Anthony Volpe and the New York Yankees have now lost 2 games against the Baltimore Orioles. In the effort, he went 1-4, 1 H, 1 R, and 1 K. Tomorrow, the Yankees will try to avoid losing 3 in a row as they face the Atlanta Braves.

Ha Seong Kim and the San Diego Padres play the Milwaukee Brewers today. He is struggling at the plate this season, as his BA stands at .217 as of the moment I am writing this entry.
